People hold a PowerPoint Presentation while they are seeing the slides for the first time.

Before the event:

  1. Create presentations

Everyone in the group needs to create a PowerPoint presentation and send it to you, with their name as the filename. Don't open any presentation files. No spoilies.
Example: Leopold sends you "leopold.ppt", Gertrude sends you "gertrude.ppt", Winifred sends you "winifred.ppt".

  2. Randomly assign presentations to people

    1. Select all presentation files in the Filename Mixer and then press the download button to randomly switch around the names of the presentation files.

    2. Example: After using the Filename Mixer "leopold.ppt" will contain the content of "gertrude.ppt", "gertrude.ppt" will contain the content of "winifred.ppt" and so on.

    3. This way everyone can open the presentation with their own name, but no one knows what the presentation will be about, not even you, the person who prepares the event.

  3. Test your projector setup

Make sure you know how the presenting person can easily switch between slides with your projector setup. (Very DIY solution: They can hold a mouse in their hand and click when they need to)

During the event:

Improvise the presentations
One after another each person opens the file with their name and holds an improvised presentation.

Materials:

  2. Computer/Phone
